Destroyed in an electrical fire on July 4, 2011, Austin Avenue 1 was rebuilt at the same location four years later after insurance and zoning issues delayed the renovation. Austin Avenue 1 is one of Plano’s most famous sports bars with many TVs and special events. Weekly specials include $2.50 house margaritas all day long every Monday. Build your own burger or order a buy one get one free pizza every Tuesday. 69 cent wings on Thursday nights are a perfect match for Thursday Night Football games. Karaoke nights are every Friday and Saturday night depending on the fight night schedule. Order a Guinness, chicken wings, or the Forty Wings from the party trays menu. Several colorful reviews paint a negative overall impression of the service despite the otherwise suitable venue, but who are we to judge? Check it out for yourself or keep scrolling for more ideas.

Sports fans who fancy themselves as foodies will enjoy Urban Crust with its spectacular wood-oven pizza and authentic Italian food located on 15th Street in Historic Downtown Plano. The starters on the menu include Italian classics such as antipasto Toscano and insalata Caprese. Signature 12″ pizza options are the Margherita, Godfather, Urban Amore, Quattro Formaggi, and Black & Blue. They also offer pizza of the month and the option to create your own. Additional dishes are limited, but excellent, like Pappardelle Alla Bolognese, F-Chicken, Pasta Al Forno, Linguine ai Gamberi, and Urban Cowboy Ribeye. There are quite a few options available for brunch and the drink menu follows through with plenty of red and white wine options. If beer is your thing then this is one of the very few places that carry Peroni beer from Italy, but they also have the regular domestics and a few craft beers. There is a third-floor ice bar named 32 Degrees that features live music on Thursdays and a DJ on the weekends. Urban Crust also has a mobile pizza oven available for catering.
